![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, the 6694 is definitely a better watch, but the sentimental value and the memories that came along with this watch is immeasurable. Look at how elegant it is.Īs I am looking through these few pictures, I am still thinking if I had made the correct decision to trade it away for a 6694. Note that the strap was a little small for me…Īs I said, this is a simple three-hand watch, without much complications and pretentious stuffs. Wrist Shot (#3) featuring the gold buckle. Didn’t listen to her advice in the end and I wore this (and two other watches) instead of the Hamilton Khaki Field Quartz which she had chosen! LOL □ I can still recall taking a few wrists shots and asking my friend if I should wear this for the event. This really brings back good memories, as it was done the night before I headed off for Pre-University Seminar. You can understand what I am trying to convey in the next few pictures… Nothing fanciful, nothing to boast, but certainly, nothing to pretend about. But other than that, it is just a simple, and practical three-hand watch. Housing this watch is the Omega Caliber 562 movement, which has a power reserve of probably around 30 hours now (hey, it’s a 40 year old watch, don’t expect much from it, heehee!) with the quickset date function (which I don’t really like, honestly). I only wore it on some slightly formal occasions, or when I am dressed formally (it kinda looks good with a suit actually, and below is a picture taken with my friend during Pre-U Seminar, where it was one of the rare occasions when I wore this watch…)īack to the watch. In these 10 months that I’ve owned it, I don’t recall wearing it for more than 40 times, even though my collection is rather small. However, as I mentioned, it was kind of small (and that it was very much a dress watch, in which I will display more pictures later) and so it didn’t receive as much wrists time as the others. I even worn it to sleep on that faithful night. But other than that, I still love the simplicity and the design of the watch. Disappointment starts to sink in though, when I realised that my hands were too fat for the thin watch strap, which looks kind of small on my wrists. As some of you know, I am not a really fussy buyer, so when I took a few quick glances at the watch, I thought it was pretty much ok and the deal was sealed within 10 minutes.Īfter a dinner at Soup Spoon with my friends, I immediately rushed home to admire my latest acquisition. So, on that faithful day on 24th August 2012, which was after school incidentally, I rushed my way from my school to Bishan MRT to meet up with this dude called Daniel. I did some research on it and contacted the seller immediately, and upon confirmation of the deal, we managed to set a date to meet up for me to inspect this watch. ![]() And it just so happens that this particular watch, the Omega Seamaster Caliber 562, was on sale and it was within my budget. I was looking for another watch, because at that time I was kind of interested to add another watch to my collection ( I only have a Hamilton Khaki Field Quartz at that time, you see) and Omega was one of the brands that I am looking at. It all began on one fine evening when I was surfing the “Want to Sell” section on watch forums. But as what people says, things will not go as planned for most of the time… You see, when I bought this watch, I had plans to flip it to earn some profits. And I am contemplating whether I had made the right decision by taking up the offer for a trade with the Rolex 6694. I’ve just received an offer for my vintage Omega Seamaster Caliber 562. I’ve never thought that I would say this, or perhaps, I’ve never thought that this day would come. ![]()
